From the time Dave Pier was able to push a mower to mow neighborhood lawns, he developed a love for being outdoors, meeting new people, and providing a valuable service that is important to people.

During high school and college, Dave worked part time for several local landscape companies. As he honed his landscaping skills, his passion for the industry grew. He obtained a Bachelors degree in Business from Wright State University providing a solid foundation to create and manage a successful business.

In 1998, Clean Cut Landscape & Lawn was born with the philosophy to consistently deliver quality customer service, affordable pricing, and unmatched responsiveness to customers needs.

Starting with just a single mower and a truck, Clean Cut Landscape & Lawn has grown rapidly through word of mouth and customer referrals - a true testament to any successful service provider. Clean Cut has evolved from a half-acre lot to a 14-acre facility. Throughout continual growth, our success is based on the personal attention and care to each of our customers. We still maintain many of our original customers. We also provide services to several large customers such as Wright State University, University of Dayton, Ohio State University and the Ohio Department of Transportation.  Future growth opportunities include retail sales of plant material, mulch and aggregates.

Clean Cut Landscape & Lawn is affiliated with the Ohio Nursery Landscape Association (ONLA). We have received several certifications including Ohio Certified Nurserymen’s Technician (OCNT), Segmental Retaining Wall (NCMA), and Paver Installation Certification (ICPI).
